Quarter-final action kicks off the senior girl’s league, with St. Mary’s HS (5-5) visiting Woodland Christian HS (3-9) while Monsignor Doyle (4-6) will battle St. David’s (7-5).

No. 1 seeded St. Benedict (11-1) and defending champion Resurrection (9-3) have earned a first round bye in the senior girls league. The semifinals are set for Wednesday, November 5 with St. Benedict’s hosting the lowest seed remaining and Resurrection hosting the other seed remaining.

The junior league will tip-off the playoffs with two semifinal matches on Monday with St. David’s (5-5) visiting Resurrection (10-0) at 3:00pm while St. Mary’s (8-2) hosts St. Benedict’s (5-5) at 3:30pm.

St. Benedict’s earned the No. 3 seed ranking on virtue of a head-to-head, point for-and-against tiebreaking rule over St. David’s – the two teams had identical records and losses against common opponents. Using the head-to-head, points for-and-against tiebreak the Celtics lost by a single point.

The District 8 girls’ basketball championship will be held at the highest remaining senior girl’s school with St. Benedict’s, Resurrection and St. David’s as possible locations. Tipoff in the junior game will go at 6:00pm while the seniors will hit the court at 8:00pm. Cost will be just $2.00.
