District 8 loses long time teacher, coach, sport administrator – Ken VanderZwaag

District 8 Athletic Association has lost a respected sport leader on Friday, December 6 with the passing of Ken VanderZwaag after a three-year battle with cancer.  Mr. VanderZwaag was a teacher, coach, and athletic director at Woodland Christian High School in Breslau for the past 30 years.  He served in many leadership capacities in school athletic associations at the local and provincial levels, including 10 years as the CWOSSA boys’…

Kitchener – Waterloo selected as host for 2013 OFSAA Field Hockey Championship

WATERLOO REGION (September 23, 2013) – In just over a month’s time, Ontario’s top secondary school student-athletes will invade the Kitchener-Waterloo area in search of a provincial championship as the region will host the 2013 OFSSA Field Hockey championship.
