WATERLOO REGION (May 15, 2014) – Rainy weather and the closure of grass fields in the Waterloo Region, all District 8 girls rugby games scheduled for Thursday, May 15th have been postponed until tomorrow.

The postponed games will be made up on Friday, May 16 (tomorrow) as a double-head at St. David CSS with St. Mary’s taking on Monsignor Doyle beginning at 1:00pm. That game will be followed with St. David’s meeting Resurrection starting at 2:00pm.

St. Mary’s is aiming to claim a perfect season while Monsignor Doyle is hoping to lock up home field advantage in the first round of playoffs with a win. In the other matchup, Resurrection needs to knock off St. David’s and is hoping for a Monsignor Doyle to lose by more than five points to secure second place and a first round home playoff game.
Semifinals are already set for next Tuesday with No. 1 seed St. Mary’s battling St. David’s on home field while Resurrection will meet Monsignor Doyle at a to be determined location.
