WATERLOO REGION (November 26, 2014) – St. Benedict standout Afifa Salaad was named the District 8 most valuable player as the league announced it’s senior and junior girls basketball all-star squads on Wednesday. The announcement was in advance of the 2014 District 8 / District 10 (Guelph) Girls Basketball All-Star showcase which goes tonight at Resurrection CSS. CAMBRIDGE, Ont.(November 7, 2014) – Cambridge’s Kayla Leusink poured in 20 points as the St. Benedict Saints topped the Resurrection Phoenix 46-30 to win the District 8 senior girls basketball championship.
