WATERLOO REGION (October 11, 2017) – On Thursday the final round of the District 8 Golf Championships were decided at Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo with Resurrection taking the boys team title.

Resurrection was led by Hayden Scott who shot a 78 on the day, and also finished with the D8 silver medal for his individual performance. Scott was joined by teammates Aiden Brady, Max Parrott and Scott Voisin.

The individual boys title was captured by St. Benedict’s Graem Costigan who shot the low round of the day with a 77. His teammate Stewart Wilson shot an 81 which was good enough for the bronze medal.

In the girls competition, Quinn Doucette from St. David’s finished with her second gold medal in as many years followed by Resurrection’s Maddie MacMillan who won the silver.

Doucette also finished second at CWOSSA in the open division and will be participating in the OFSAA Girls Golf Festival October 11th and 12th at the North Bay Golf and Country Club.
