WATERLOO, Ont. (October 30, 2014) – The St. Mary’s Eagles claimed the final playoff position with a 3-1 victory over the St. David Celtics on Thursday night in the senior boys volleyball tiebreaking play in game.

The Eagles will advance to the semifinal round to battle the No. 1 seeded and undefeated Woodland Christian Cavaliers. That game is set for Monday, Nov. 3 at Woodland Christian HS (3:30pm start). In the other senior boys semifinal, No. 3 Resurrection faces No. 2 Rockway – that game also goes on Nov. 3 at 3:30pm with Rockway hosting.

Junior boy’s playoff action sees No. 4 Père-René-de-Galinée take on top seeded Rockway while No. 3 Resurrection visits No. 2 Woodland Christian HS. All junior games are set for Monday, Nov. 3 with a 3:30pm startime.

The District 8 boys’ volleyball championship will be held at the highest remaining senior seed (Either Woodland CHS, Rockway MC or Resurrection CSS) on Wednesday, November 5th. The junior championship will kick the evening off at 6:00pm while the senior game will be held at 8:00pm.
